2021 Physician Wellness Day Draws Crowd Despite the Rain

The annual family BBQ at Bartley Ranch Regional Park returned in September with an enthusiastic crowd despite a rain storm that roared through just before start time. This year we partnered with the Nevada Physician’s Wellness Coalition and focused our event on physician wellness.

A special presentation was made to Tim Coughlin, MD, long-time WCMS member, for his commitment to physician wellness through his work to help physicians overcome addiction problems.

An accomplished story teller, Dr. Coughlin shared his many experiences in assisting his colleagues regaining their stability and achieving sobriety.

We also invited our attendees to donate some of the much-needed supplies that women and their children need for daily living. Pam Russell, executive director of the Women’s and Children’s Center of the Sierras, reports that enough diapers were donated to enable
