WCMS physician members have an opportunity to partner with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine’s Project ECHO. Dr. Evan Klass is the Project ECHO-Nevada Director and Associate Dean of Statewide Initiatives. Project ECHO-Nevada provides a variety of ECHO clinics which are open to primary care providers at all levels and include CME/CE (1 hour of free CME for each hour of clinic attended for physician participants who complete the evaluation form after each clinic), and their Pain Management EHCO clinic qualifies as ethics credit. Connectivity is provided through the NSHE telecommunications backbone.
They will help you navigate the online videoconferencing system (zoom.us) and make sure you are comfortable with it prior to logging onto a clinic. Their Diabetes and General Endocrinology ECHO clinic is by far their best attended and it’s a great one to get a feel for the overall format. If you have any questions, please contact Chris Marchand, MPH, Program Coordinator Office of Statewide Initiatives, University of Nevada, Reno SOM (775) 682-8276 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
